What is up people! BlackStar here on this awesome Thursday morning! And yes, it is my birthday today! That's not me in the video, I just needed something to use. I'm turning an age today, but I'm not telling you because it would ruin my secret blogger identity! Anyway, today's not all about me! I'm here for all of you guys! Of course, it's Anime Review Thursday. But before we start, let's give a warm welcome to all of Team Otaku!
Start this week, these brave women and men have agreed to help me with my reviews week from week! Now, without further ado, let's get started!
Meet Light Yagami. He's an above average high school student who often thinks about how to make the world a better place.
This is Shinigami Ryuk. Shinigami means death god, so therefore, he is a god of death. (Yes, there are multiple). Anyway, one day, Ryuk decides to "accidentally drop" his Death Note into the human world.
Now, what is the Death Note? It's a notebook that has mythical and magical abilities that makes it so that whose ever name is written in the Death Note dies in 40 seconds by a heart attack or any other way that is directly written afterwards.
Upon finding the Death Note, Light begins to write down the names of villains and criminals around the world, hoping to create world peace. He calls himself Kire, which is Japanese for killer. Of course, when there's a murder, there's someone to look into it.
Thus, for a worldwide case, you need a worldwide detective. This is where L comes in. (No, that's not a typo. That literally is his name.) He's the worlds best detective, although he is a rather strange one. He's often seen biting his thumb, crouching, or eating some sort of sweets. He's the one who is trying to solve the "Kira Case"

Now, down to the parts of the anime!
Artwork: Shoujo style anime. This kind of artwork is only used for the human characters though. The creators of this show created a different art style for the shinigami. Let's compare:
Ryuk has his own godly animation compared to Light and the other Human characters.
(Artwork critic by Labiba)
Music: The music for the anime is always eerie and suspenseful! It makes you feel like you know when something is going to happen, yet you keep wanting more! It sometimes signals a plot twist, which catches you by surprise!
(Music Evaluation by Flame)
The story: The anime follows the story pretty well. It's pretty direct as well. A teenager finds a notebook that kills people. There is no possible way that the show could stray from that.
(Plot Evaluation: King Virgzilla)
Character Relationships: All of the relationships with the characters revolve around Light in someway. From the deaths to people who are harmed in the story.
(Character Evaluation: Lorrell)
So, without a doubt, we the people at Team Otaku give Death Note a....
9/10 A for assassination!
That's all for now guys! See you next week for the next anime review! This is Team Otaku logging off!
Just fan service in disguise.
